The galactic resort will be much smaller than regular resorts or hotels present in our planet but, it's an entirely different experience when you are literally floating around at 300 miles above the surface of earth. The Galactic Suite Project, run by directors Xavier Claramunt, who is also the designer of the resort and Marsal Gifra, aims to offer travelers the “most thrilling and adventurous experience ever”. Guests will be able to experience a new world of sensations including weightlessness, star gazing, amazing views of planet Earth, with not to mention being aboard a spaceship that takes you from 0 to 28,000 km h in 10 minutes.

The Space Resort |
The main hub of the resort will serve as the docking platform to the spaceship and four arms of the resort are four private suits with a giant window each. This window can get you a mesmerizing and absolutely beautiful view of earth. The amazing fact is that you will circle around the globe in every 80 minutes catching 15 Sunrises and Sunsets each day. If you are tired of floating around then you can stick to the walls of the room with a specially designed Velcro suit.
Well the excitement doesn't just end here because The hotel also offers you a memorable day trip to the moon in pre-programmed 2 seated space crafts. These crafts will take you as close as may be a 100 ft above the surface of the moon and bring you back to the resort at night. Now that sounds exciting.
But going to space is not similar as going for a under water dive, it requires certain knowledge and physical condition. So you have to undergo a training process. It’s not just the stay in space that is exciting about this whole space adventure, Unlike those in the NASA program who face training in special locations in the US, travelers to Galactic Suite will undergo their astronautic preparation at a luxury hotel on a tropical island in the Caribbean.
The project was due for completion toeards the end of 2012 but, it's been delayed An adventure like this won't be cheap. Claramunt calculates a three-day stay at the galactic suit is estimated at around €3 million (US$4 million). Claramunt and Gifra believe the trip is a bargain considering “this is the first package deal, as it includes transport from the tourist’s home to the Caribbean island, the training required for journeys into orbit, the flight to the hotel and three nights accommodation in the Galactic Suite”. The prices will come down quickly soon as more people starts to join the program and more space resorts are built gradually.
But Virgin Galactic is not the only company who had dreamed of project.
Private Russian company, Orbital Technologies, has now announced plans to build, launch and operate what could be the world’s first commercial space station (CSS). It envisions the station will be used by professional crews and corporate researchers to conduct scientific experiments, as well as private citizens looking for an out of this world holiday destination. To be built by Russian spacecraft manufacturer RSC Energia, the CSS would be man-tended, with a crew capability of up to seven people, with the capability to expand the crew size over time and plans to launch the first module of the CSS in 2015-2016.

The company Bigelow Aerospace has launched two prototypes of its inflatable space habitat is ready to launch a full scaled version that can be manned as soon as there is commercial space transport available, which is currently expected to happen by the 2015-2016 time frame.
